Join us at the Lake Travis Community Library for some great bluegrass style live music with the Eddie Collins and Max Zimmet Duo. Eddie and Max team up on acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, and vocals, playing bluegrass, country, rockabilly, and western swing standards and originals. The Austin-based duo of Eddie Collins and Max Zimmet is a side project of the popular Hot Pickin 57s. They team up on acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, and vocals, playing standards and originals in the genres of bluegrass, classic country (Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, etc), Rockabilly (Chuck Berry, Ricky Nelson, Johnny Rivers, etc.) and Texas Swing.

Lakeway Art Walk Weekend @ Lakeway Activity Center
ART WALK WEATHER UPDATE: Due to potential rainy weather conditions, we regret to inform everyone that the Friday night concert under the stars featuring the Christian Wiggs Sextet and the outdoor Saturday Art Walk at the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden and Hamilton Greenbelt have been cancelled. However, the weekend doesn’t end there! The Studio Tours and off-site exhibitions will still be happening as planned on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, offering you a chance to explore the creativity of local artists in their studios. Additionally, on Sunday at the Lakeway Activity Center, you can enjoy a free TexARTS Emerging Professionals and Young Student performance at 2pm, plus the Christian Wiggs Sextet will conclude the weekend festivities with a live music concert on Sunday at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there! REVISED ART WALK SCHEDULE: FRIDAY, APRIL 19 – KICKOFF PARTY at 5pm Immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of the arts in Lakeway! This special three-day event kicks off on Friday 4/19 at 5pm with refreshments and light bites at a festive artist meet-and-greet hosted by the Adams Galleries. SATURDAY, APRIL 20 & SUNDAY, APRIL 21 – STUDIO TOURS from 10am-4pm Discover local creative gems as you explore the vibrant Studio Tour (see interactive map) featuring 20 open artist studios and off-site exhibitions both Saturday and Sunday. Also on Saturday, the Lakeway Heritage Center is showcasing an Art of Quilting exhibit from 1pm-4pm along with sharing Lakeway’s fascinating history. The Lake Travis Community Library is hosting a special student art exhibit as part of the Studio Tour as well. Talented young artists from Lake Travis High School will be showcasing their creations inspired by the unique spirit of Lakeway. Join the student reception from 2pm to 4pm to meet the artists, celebrate their creativity, and discover a fresh perspective on your own community. SUNDAY, APRIL 21 – TEXARTS PERFORMANCE at 2pm and CHRISTIAN WIGGS SEXTET at 6pm On Sunday, wrap up your art-filled adventure by visiting additional open studios and treat yourself to two captivating performances! Enjoy a special free TexARTS Emerging Professionals and Young Students performance at 2pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. Finally, conclude an inspiring weekend with a free live music performance by the Christian Wiggs Sextet at 6pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to celebrate the creative spirit of Lakeway – we hope to see you at one or all of these events!

Art Walk Concert Under the Stars with Christian Wiggs Sextet @ Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden
Kick off the Art Walk weekend and join us for a concert Under the Stars with the Christian Wiggs Sextet in the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden! Bring your own chairs, blankets and refreshments. Show starts at 7pm. Rain date is Sunday 4/21 at the Lakeway Activity Center at 6pm. PARKING OPTIONS Parking for the events at the Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden will be available in the Justice Center Complex parking lot (104 Cross Creek) and Activity Center parking lot (105 Cross Creek). The Hamilton Greenbelt parking area will be CLOSED to the general public on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 for the event. WHAT IF IT RAINS? If there is rainy weather Friday evening, the Christian Wiggs performance will move to Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center. If there is rainy weather Saturday, the Arts at the Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden will be CANCELLED. However, the art studio tours will still take place.
