Ring in the Holidays with a Lakeway Sing Along
Lakeway Sing Along celebrates their 20th anniversary of entertaining local crowds on Sunday, December 8th at the Lakeway Activity Center (map), with a special family Christmas Show featuring many favorite holiday songs from past years. There isn’t a better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a Christmas music show, especially one benefiting low-income children. There will be ample opportunity for audience participation – and a really good chance Santa and Mrs.Claus will drop in! Back-to-back performances will be held on December 8 at 2:00 p.m and 4:30 p.m at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. No need for reservations, but come early to get a good seat. Spook-tacular Monster Concert at Lake Travis High School
Halloween is just around the corner and to get you in the spirit, Lake Travis Orchestra will perform a spook-tacular Monster Concert on Tuesday October 29th at 7pm at the Lake Travis Performing Arts Center. Mark your calendar for An Evening with the Austin Symphony Orchestra in Lakeway. This inaugural concert with guest performers from the Lake Travis High School Orchestra will take place on November 16th at 7:30pm in the Lake Travis Performing Arts Center. Balcones Orchestra Concert
Lakeway welcomes the Balcones Community Orchestra again to our Lakeway Activity Center for another wonderful performance. In this free afternoon concert, the Orchestra will perform: Metamorphosis (2019) by Adrienne Inglis Mendelssohn: Sinfonia No. 1 in C-Major Haydn: Symphony No.84 in E-Flat Metamorphosis(2019) by Adrienne Inglis for flute, harp, and string orchestra, commissioned by Balcones Community Orchestra celebrates the life and work of Maria Sybilla Merian (1647-1717), pioneering entomologist, naturalist, and artist. An Afternoon of Opera: Mozart to Puccini
Opera Etc. will be performing at the Lake Travis Community Library in Lakeway, Texas on June 14, 2019 at 4:00pm. Lakeway Sing Along Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Lakeway Sing Along celebrates two decades of entertaining area music lovers with its 20th Anniversary Spring Show at the Lakeway Activity Center on April 25-27. Expect an array of favorites from past Sing Along shows, as well as familiar songs about who they are and those who helped them get where they are today. Doors open for these dinner show performances at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. and the show following. BYOB, of course, and tables of 10 available. Harmonizing with the Lakeway Sing Along
Sing Along is a group of approximately 80 men and women from the Lakeway area who enjoy singing and performing. Sing Along meets regularly at the Lakeway Activity Center on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. They perform twice annually, a Spring Show series (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) and a Christmas Show (2 performances on Sunday in December). Profits from the Spring show supports the Christmas Show which currently benefits the Green Santa program. Each year, Sing Along collects thousands of toys and dollars for charities which benefit children in need in the Lake Travis area. Lakeway Arts Committee presents Bella Corda youth guitar ensemble
The Austin Bella Corda Guitar Ensemble will return to Lakeway for a free concert from 4-5 p.m. Saturday at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This ensemble of extraordinary students from the Central Texas area has performed music from medieval times to the present on tours throughout the United States and Germany. Their YouTube videos have garnered over 350,000 viewings. Bella Corda soloist Aytahn Benavi, 15, recently placed first in high school guitar competitions at Texas A&M and Indiana universities.
