Celebrating its 22nd year, the 2024 Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. Last year the photo categories included Artistic, Community, Heritage, Nature (Sky, Water and Greenery), Pets and Wildlife (Deer, Birds and Critters). We would like your input for possible NEW categories for the upcoming Lakeway Photo Festival (accepting entries from July 15 – August 31). Inaugural Photography Exhibit Captures the Strength of Women
The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Photography”, a special photo exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1st – March 30th at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit includes dramatic photos both by women photographers and portraits of women taken by local photographers. The exhibit was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. We invite you to join us at the Artists Reception on March 9th from 1:30-3pm. Call for Photographers: Women in Photography Art Exhibit
UPDATE: DEADLINE NOW EXTENDED TO 1/29/24! The Lakeway Arts District is seeking submissions for the debut Women in Photography art exhibit, which will be on display from March 1-30, 2024 at the Lake Travis Community Library in celebration of Women’s History Month. This exhibit will feature the work of local photographers, showcasing their diverse perspectives and talents as well as compelling photographic portraits of women subjects. All are welcome to enter their creative photographic expressions as we celebrate women’s history, issues, and rights. Congratulations to the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winning photos for the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival! There were 164 beautiful digital photographs entered from 54 talented local photographers – the most ever! The categories this year were Artistic, Community, Nature/Greenery, Nature/Sky, Nature/Water, Pets, Wildlife/Birds and Wildlife/Critters. Thanks to everyone who attended the awards reception and special thanks to our live jazz musicians and talented honors band saxophonists, Nick and Luka, who played so beautifully in the 100 degree heat!
