Lily Beard

Award-winning pastel artist, specializing in portraiture of loved ones, I am available for commissioned work.

My education spans from a BFA double major in Fine Art and Interior Design from the University of Houston (1971-1975) to attending several professional workshops including studies in mural painting in Seattle, WA, figure drawing and portraiture in Asheville, NC, in Austin, TX and online.

As the retired owner of a design firm in the Seattle and Bainbridge Island area for fifteen years from 1993 - 2008, I was fortunate to be able to offer my artistic abilities to my clients. These past few years, I have enjoyed painting in my studio here in Lakeway. The draw for me has lately been my love for character in a face, finding the spark there and expressing it through my art.

In addition to pastel portraits, I am learning to paint landscapes in oils, similar but different! And...oh yes, I still do some limited design consultations such as assisting with Residential Paint Colors in Lakeway.
