Alphabet Soup: A Musical Journey from A to Z

Choosing a favorite song is difficult enough, but Lakeway Sings! took that challenge to the extreme for their newest production, “Alphabet Soup.” The group has combed through decades of hits to select one show-stopping number for every single letter of the alphabet.

The curated setlist spans timeless classics and hidden gems, promising a musical menu with something for every listener. Producer Ann Smith admits that the process was more difficult than it appeared.

“The challenge wasn’t finding songs—it was narrowing the list down to the absolute best,” Smith says. “I’ll be amazed if we haven’t chosen some of our audience’s favorites, along with some pleasant surprises.”

With twenty-six letters to juggle, the performers are focused on keeping everything on track—though audiences will have to attend the show to see if anything goes hilariously awry.
