Take an Artistic Journey to the Gulf Coast
Local artist Larry Bishop, a Lakeway resident, brings the beauty of the coast to the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery this August. Inspired by summers spent on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Bishop’s paintings capture the natural beauty and vibrant marine life of the Texas, Mississippi, and Florida coastlines.
After decades as a golf pro and then a realtor, Bishop returned to painting in 2018. Now, he’s happiest with a paintbrush in hand, drawing inspiration from his coastal travels and the time he spends on his boat in Rockport. His stunning collection, which includes both acrylics and pastels, has earned recognition from the Pastel Society of Colorado and is also represented by galleries in Rockport and Austin.

All are welcome to an Artist Reception at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery on Monday, August 18th, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Come meet Larry Bishop, view his incredible artwork, and enjoy some light refreshments before the City Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
