Lakeway Arts + Culture Calendar

Enjoy a FREE family movie night with DreamWorks’ Shrek on a giant LED screen! Join us Friday, April 25th at 6 p.m. at the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden (next to the Lakeway Justice Center, 104 Cross Creek). Complimentary popcorn, local pizza for purchase, and the enchanting ‘Enchanted Forest Walk’ display (April 21-27) make this a perfect evening! Stroll the garden before or after the movie.

National Lemonade Day will take place on Saturday, May 3 and the City of Lakeway is welcoming your young entrepreneurs to join in the fun by setting up their own lemonade stand! This will be a FREE event (except for those purchasing lemonade) focused on helping our young business leaders put their creativity and business skills in action. If you’re a parent or young entrepreneur, and interested in participating, we encourage you to SIGN UP so the City of Lakeway can help promote your stand and location.

At this annual festive luau, the swim center is transforming the pool deck into a tropical paradise. Enjoy the graceful sway of live hula dancers sharing stories through movement, followed by the powerful and resonant energy of a Haka dance and drumming performance that will send shivers of excitement down your spine. For the young and the young at heart, our talented face painters will be on hand to transform you into vibrant tropical creatures. And if you’re feeling limber, get ready to limbo! Test your flexibility and compete for some fun prizes – how low can you go? All this island fun will be taking place at the Lakeway Swim Center.
