Update: Film Festival is now scheduled for June 10-13, 2021. Mark your calendars! The Lake Travis Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Film Festival scheduled to take place in the Lake Travis area June 10th to 13th, 2021. This will be the second year for the festival after a successful first event earlier this year. Visit Lake Travis Film Festival for more details on how to apply. Lake Travis Film Festival Focuses on Opening Night
Lubbock native Kat Albert didn’t set out to be a filmmaker and certainly not the founder of this weekend’s inaugural Lake Travis Film Festival. Years ago, the former advertising agency owner said she was at a crossroads on what to do next after selling her company. Spending the following year writing seven screenplays, Albert realized none of them would be turned into a production unless she learned how to make films. Lake Travis Film Festival Kicks-Off in February
The Lake Travis Film Festival will kick off its inaugural season with the red carpet premieres taking place at Lakeway Spa & Resort in late February 2020. The festival, February 27, 28, 29 and March 1, will include six premieres; two World Premieres, two U.S. Premieres, a Texas Premiere and an Austin area Premiere.
