Arts in the Afternoon: Band of the Hills
Save the date for the next Arts in the Afternoon performance on February 27 from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This FREE concert will feature music by the Band of the Hills, a community band for all ages. Band of the Hills has entertained crowds around Central Texas for more than 20 years and performs a variety of music from classical to seasonal favorites. Brought to you by the City of Lakeway Arts Committee. See you there!

Sondheim? Yes, Please! The Demon Barber of Fleet Street hits TexARTS
Don’t miss it as TexARTS brings to life a reimagined version of Stephen Sondheim’s grisly 1979 masterpiece “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street“. Performances will take place Feb 11 – 27 at the Kam & James Morris Theatre in Lakeway with show times starting at 7:30 pm (with a 2 pm show on Sundays). Tickets are available online at TexARTS.

A Night With The Austin Symphony Orchestra
Mark your calendars for March 26, 2022 when members of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and students with Lake Travis High School perform together at “A Night with the Austin Symphony Orchestra.” Maestro Peter Bay will conduct the performance with participation by Anna Macias, Director for the Lake Travis High School Orchestra and Richard Hicks, Director for the Lake Travis High School Band. The special concert, brought to you by the City of Lakeway Arts Committee, will take place at the Lake Travis Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. Celebrate the Season at Lights On
Ho Ho Ho and Happy Holidays! Join us to kick off the holiday season at the Lights On event on December 4th from 6-8pm marks the first lighting of the Trail of Lights behind City Hall. We invite you to join us for fun in the parking lot at City Hall (at the corner of Sailmaster and Lohman’s). Have fun decorating cookies and roasting a marshmallow at the fire pit! We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit Lake Travis Crisis Ministries. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be nearby to ‘plug in’ the Trail of Lights display and to speak to all of the good little boys…

We’re Crazy for Patsy Cline
Lakeway Players began as a small community theater group when the center first opened in 2001. Since then, they have performed a variety of performances. This Fall, they will be presenting “Always…Patsy Cline” on November 4, 5 and 6. The show is from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 each with assigned table seating (10 seats per table). You are welcome to invite your friends and neighbors and fill a table! BYOB and snacks. Set-ups will be provided. On Sunday, November 7, matinee tickets will be available for $20 each in a general admission theater style seating.
