ART WALK WEATHER UPDATE: Due to potential rainy weather conditions, we regret to inform everyone that the Friday night concert under the stars featuring the Christian Wiggs Sextet and the outdoor Saturday Art Walk at the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden and Hamilton Greenbelt have been cancelled. However, the weekend doesn’t end there! The Studio Tours and off-site exhibitions will still be happening as planned on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, offering you a chance to explore the creativity of local artists in their studios. Enchanting Holiday Festivities in Lakeway
Kick off the holiday season with the charming Lights On! event on Friday, December 1st from 6 to 8 pm. Gather behind City Hall for a delightful evening of twinkling lights, delectable treats, lively games, and heartwarming bluegrass music. Starting December 4th, Santa’s Special Delivery mailbox will be stationed at the Lakeway Activity Center, eagerly awaiting children’s letters and drawings for Santa. If you drop off your letter early and include your child’s name and address legibly, there’s a chance Santa’s helpers will send a reply. Eagle Scout Service Project Breathes New Life into Dragon Park
Local middle school student and Life Scout Nick spearheaded an initiative to renovate and revitalize part of Lakeway’s Dragon Park as his Eagle Scout Service Project, breathing new life into the beloved neighborhood recreational space. With a passion for enhancing the park’s amenities, Nick planned, developed and led his service project for BSA Troop 52 scouts and volunteers to meticulously refurbish the basketball court, adding red, white and blue patriotic nets, freshly painted court lines, and two foursquare courts for younger players. They also incorporated a striking red dragon and Texas star motif into the jump circle, paying homage to the park’s name and adding a touch of local flair.…

Learn How to Cook the Modern Pioneer Way
Join us at the Lake Travis Community Library as local cookbook author and library patron Mary Bryant Shrader discusses her debut The Modern Pioneer Cookbook, which features traditional “pioneer” cooking techniques such as making bone broth, sourdough bread, and cultured dairy. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Lake Travis Reads is a One Book, One Community program whose goal is to bring the Lake Travis communities together through the shared reading and discussion of the works of our favorite authors. Lake Travis Reads is co-sponsored by Bee Cave Public Library, Lake Travis Community Library, and Spicewood Community Library.
