Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery Grand Opening
Join us at the Grand Opening of the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery on Monday April 17th at 5:30pm. Talented local artist Linda Wells has created a scenic art journey of Lakeway’s iconic vistas through her beautiful pastel artworks and paintings. Linda finds that a love of nature’s beauty is what inspires her to paint. Her exhibit will be available from April 3rd – June 30th during business hours in Lakeway City Hall. Stop by to take a unique artistic tour of Lakeway! All are welcome in the Art Gallery for light refreshments from 5:30 – 6:30pm before the Lakeway City Council meeting begins.

Call for Artwork at Austin Pets Alive!
Life Scout Tyce Bogdon from Boy Scout Troop 52 is working on a project benefiting Austin Pets Alive, a local non-profit organization that provides care to dogs and cats who are looking for a home. He is creating a new outdoor space that is in a high-traffic area of their Town Lake headquarters. The hope is that this new space will inspire and encourage more donations and pet adoptions. Because art is an important part of his life, Tyce would like to have a piece of artwork donated as a gift to Austin Pets Alive. The City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents the 2023 Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour on August 26 from 1-5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. This year the annual party has expanded to an unique arts festival chock full of live music and kids activities. The Studio Tour will take place on August 26th and 27th from 1-5pm at various artist studios in Lakeway. You won’t want to miss it! Explore Undulating Fields in Painted Landscapes this April
Local artist Jay Ohlrich will exhibit his oil painting at the Lake Travis Community Library in April. Jay works with bronze, clay, paint, gold, and silver to create his unique paintings and sculptures. His exhibit will feature a collection of oil landscapes on canvas which were inspired by his love of the rolling Midwest and Western topography. The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Art”, a very special art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1-31st at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit of paintings, drawings, digital AI art and mixed media sculptures by local women artists was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality.
