Hot Jazz for a Cool Arts Crowd

Join us on Saturday August 26th as the City of Lakeway Arts Committee and the 2023 Cool Arts Show present the talented Christian Wiggs Trio! Don’t miss this entertaining live jazz performance located outdoors from 1:30-4:30pm in the Lakeway Activity Center courtyard. 

Based out of Austin, Texas, Christian Wiggs has become one of the city’s most notable and dynamic jazz vocalists. Taking inspiration from greats such as Kurt Elling, Mel Torme, & Chet Baker, Christian brings a unique sound to the bandstand, incorporating subtle nuances of the prolific voices, jazz styles and distinct instrumentation.

Born to a choreographer, Christian was raised in the theatre from an early age where he first became familiar with standards and the Great American Songbook. After opening for Tony DeSare and the Houston Symphony Orchestra at seventeen years of age, Wiggs went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Texas State University. Since then, Wiggs has performed on celebrated stages including Birdland, Dizzy’s Club (Jazz at Lincoln Center), Jazz TX, Monks Jazz and The Elephant Room.
