Get Started in Documentary Filmmaking

Join Lake Travis Film Festival and four-time Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker, Juan Agustin Marquez, for a free 3-week documentary filmmaking workshop. Over the course of three Saturdays from 10:30-12:00, they will teach you everything you need to know to make your first documentary film – everything from developing ideas, taking a film through production and into post-production, and getting a finished film seen.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to make a short documentary film of your own. They will showcase these films at the 2023 Lake Travis Film Festival in September.
