Join us for a delightful “Arts in the Afternoon” program of music on Sunday, July 28th at 4pm the Lakeway Activity Center as The Austin Brassworks takes the stage! This vibrant ensemble, with roots dating back to 1998, will captivate you with their diverse repertoire. From original brass quintet works to captivating arrangements of classical, jazz, folk, and even pop tunes, the Austin Brassworks promises a performance for all musical tastes.
Get ready for a thrilling program that includes:
- Full Tilt by Kevin McKee – A high-energy piece that will showcase the virtuosity of the band.
- Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, arranged by Brandon Ridenour – A moving and beautiful arrangement of this classic song.
- Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Franz Liszt, arranged by Jeff Luke – Experience the grandeur of this iconic piece reimagined for brass quintet.
- Two Selections from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, arranged by Jack Gale – Relive the excitement of this beloved musical with the Austin Brassworks’ take.
- Quintet No. 3, first movement by Victor Ewald – A captivating example of the brass quintet repertoire.
