Independence Day is the City’s biggest celebration of the year!
Come and enjoy Lakeway’s famous old-fashioned July 4th Celebration. We have activities for the whole family.
This year, we’re including a patriotic themed Rhythms & Reels event Friday evening at City Park, the Lakeway 4th of July Parade on Monday morning, followed by a Hot Dog Reception provided by HEB Lakeway at the Lakeway Activity Center, and a special $4 entry fee at the Swim Center all day on July 4th!
Be sure to turn your eyes to the sky at 9 AM for a special military flyover on Lakeway Drive near Cross Creek Road!

Schedule of Events:
July 1, 2022
- 6:00 PM – Rhythms & Reels
July 4, 2022
- 8:30 AM Parade Begins
- 9:00 AM Military Flyover
- 9:30 AM Hot dog Reception at Lakeway Activity Center – includes donuts, hot dogs generously provided and served by HEB Lakeway, yard games, live Mariachi Music by Mariachi Amor, Parade Awards, and an opportunity to suggest next year’s Parade theme!
- 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Swim Center special rate – $4 all day!
In the case of inclement weather:
- In the event of light rain or drizzle, the parade will go on.
- In the event of heavy rain, the parade will be canceled. That decision will be made by 6 AM.
