From Saudi Arabia to Austin: An Artist’s Global Vision

Self-taught artist Guy Burchak’s diverse work is shaped by a lifetime of global travel. His artistic talent, recognized early, led him to study at the Art Instruction School, Fleming College (Florence), and Parsons (New York). Four decades as a corporate artist, especially in the Middle East and Europe, further enriched his experience. Burchak’s creative journey spans disciplines from architectural design to painting, drawing, illustration, and sculpture, honed in various settings from studios to computer labs. His passion for travel fueled his aviation art career, including work for the US and Saudi military during Desert Shield/Storm and the Iraq War, now in the US and Saudi Air Force Art Collections, and held by the Saudi Royal Family and private collectors. After living in Dubai (2003-2007) creating trade show displays, he retired from corporate work in 2012. Burchak has sold his art internationally and, now residing in Austin, Texas, creates art reflecting our evolving world’s journey toward compassion.

The Lakeway Arts Committee invites you to experience his work at the Lakeway City Hall Gallery this January and February. An artist’s reception will be held on January 27th at 5:30pm.
