Do you dream of sharing your artistic talent with a vibrant community? The City of Lakeway is happy to announce the 2025 Art Walk, a three-day celebration of art, music, and local culture! Join us May 16-18, 2025, at the scenic Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden, Hamilton Greenbelt, and various art studios around Lakeway. This free, family-friendly festival is the perfect opportunity to shine!
Calling All Artists!
Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, musician, dancer, chef, or craftsperson, we encourage you to apply! Home art studio owners are also welcome. Applications are open now through April 18, 2025. Secure your spot at this exciting event! Visit the Lakeway Activity Center online or in person to register and pay the fee.
Art Walk Weekend: A Detailed Look
Friday, May 16th
- 4:00-7:00 PM: Kick off the Art Walk at Adams Gallery (map) with an artist meet-and-greet, wine, and light bites. This event is free and open to the public. Adams Galleries, a Lakeway fixture since 2015, offers fine art and custom framing, featuring original works from local, regional, and nationally recognized artists.
- 7:00-8:30 PM: Enjoy a special opening night performance at TexARTS Association (map). This free performance featuring excerpts from Alice in Wonderland and Mean Girls will be a highlight of the Art Walk’s first evening. More details on the performance coming soon!
Saturday, May 17th
- 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Immerse yourself in art at the Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden (104 Cross Creek). Stroll along the path and discover a diverse array of artwork. Food will be available for purchase from local favorites like Craig O’s Pizza and more!
- Children’s Coloring Contest: Kids can unleash their inner artists in a fun coloring contest judged by our mayor!
- Parking: Available at the Lakeway Justice Complex (105 Cross Creek).
- Weather Contingency: In case of inclement weather, artisans will move to the Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). Performances and outdoor food vendors will be cancelled (unless food is fully prepared and pre-packaged).
- 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Explore private art studios during the Art Studio Tours at various locations (details coming soon). See artists at work, witness demonstrations, and discover hidden artistic gems.
- Rock Painting: Children can contribute to the Painted Rock Garden in the Hamilton Greenbelt at the Enchanted Forest Studio Tour location.
- 2:00-4:00 PM: Meet the artists at the LTHS Student Art Exhibit at the City Hall Art Gallery. This exhibit, open throughout May (M-F, 8 am – 5 pm), will feature a special reception and People’s Choice Award voting on Saturday May 17th from 2-4pm.
Sunday, May 18th
- 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Continue your studio tour adventures at various locations (details coming soon).
- 4:00 PM: Conclude the Art Walk with a Masterpiece Concert Series performance at the Lakeway Activity Center (map). Enjoy a captivating concert featuring Samuel Barber’s Cello Sonata, Op.6 and Brahms Piano Quartet No. 3 in C Minor, performed by renowned musicians.
