Join us for a delightful “Arts in the Afternoon” program of music on Sunday, July 28th at 4pm the Lakeway Activity Center as The Austin Brassworks takes the stage! This vibrant ensemble, with roots dating back to 1998, will captivate you with their diverse repertoire. From original brass quintet works to captivating arrangements of classical, jazz, folk, and even pop tunes, the Austin Brassworks promises a performance for all musical tastes.

Meet the Talented Musicians:

  • Robert Laguna (Trumpet): A music educator with a passion for brass, Robert performs with various ensembles and conducts the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
  • Jose Yznaga (Trumpet): By day, an IT professional, Jose brings his musical expertise to groups like the Balcones Community Orchestra and the Austin Brassworks.
  • Chris Willuhn (French Horn): A policy development specialist, Chris is also a dedicated musician who performs with the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
  • Danny Schmidt (Trombone): With over 30 years in the Austin music scene, Danny brings his experience from various groups to the Austin Brassworks.
  • Mark Cain (Tuba): A retired higher education administrator with a love for music, Mark is a tuba player and author specializing in brass quintet literature.
