Embroidery Artwork and Demonstration at LTCL in January
Local artist and Lake Travis Community Library volunteer Carol van Ginkel will exhibit her embroidery artwork during the month of January. Carol grew up in Pittsburgh where her grandmother introduced her to embroidery. After she got the hang of it, she tried new ideas by searching for images that she wanted to “paint” in threads. Carol enjoys experimenting with various techniques, styles, and materials to create her detailed pieces. All are invited to attend her reception on Sunday, January 12th from 2pm to 3:30pm and demonstration on Sunday, January 19th beginning at 2pm.
