Celebrating its 22nd year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. Last year the photo categories included Artistic, Community, Heritage, Nature (Sky, Water and Greenery), Pets and Wildlife (Deer, Birds and Critters). We would like your input for possible NEW categories for the upcoming Lakeway Photo Festival (accepting entries from July 15 – August 31). UPDATE: Registration Deadline extended to March 24th! Join us for the first Lakeway Art Walk weekend on April 19-21 this spring! Mark your calendar for a weekend of art, music, dance, artisanal goods, food, and more! The Art Walk will take place at the Hamilton Greenbelt, Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden, and various art studios around Lakeway. Dive into Global Affairs with Great Decisions Seminars
Join us for another fantastic series of Great Decisions topics at the Lake Travis Community Library. This free, in-person program will take place in Lake Travis Community Library meeting room biweekly on Thursday nights at 7pm from March 7th to June 13th, 2024. No registration is required. Great Decisions is a nationwide, non-partisan program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association intended to broaden public involvement in foreign affairs. It was launched over 50 years ago, and today tens of thousands of participants take part in discussion groups each year. Inaugural Photography Exhibit Captures the Strength of Women
The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Photography”, a special photo exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1st – March 30th at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit includes dramatic photos both by women photographers and portraits of women taken by local photographers. The exhibit was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. We invite you to join us at the Artists Reception on March 9th from 1:30-3pm.
