Under the direction of John Mills, Michael Mordecai, and Kris Kimura, the Tony Campise Big Band is a celebration of jazz excellence, led by the unforgettable legacy of saxophonist and flutist Tony Campise. Known for his virtuosic talent and dynamic performances, Campise left an indelible mark on the jazz scene, and his music continues to captivate audiences.

The band’s powerhouse sound is further elevated by the remarkable vocals of Mady Kaye. With a voice that seamlessly blends the depth of classic jazz with a contemporary flair, Mady Kaye brings a unique warmth and charisma to the stage. Her ability to interpret the great American songbook, coupled with her dynamic stage presence, makes her the perfect complement to the rich, vibrant sound of the Tony Campise Big Band.

Together, they create an unforgettable musical experience that pays tribute to jazz’s golden era while introducing fresh interpretations that resonate with today’s audiences. Whether performing timeless standards or delivering show-stopping originals, the Tony Campise Big Band starring Mady Kaye offers a night of music that is both nostalgic and thrilling.

Tony Campise was born in Houston. Mady hails from Poughkeepsie, NY. They both followed their musical hearts to Austin and each forged a career that has thrilled jazz fans and inspired generations of jazz musicians. Tony Campise’s Big Band carries on the world-renowned sax player’s legacy and Mady happily reunites with them to bring the Spicewood Arts Society an evening full of musical memories while making some new ones just for you!”

This performance is made possible by a generous donation from The Motheral Family in memory of their friend and great jazz musician Tony Campise.
