Enjoy an Artistic Escape to the Florida Gulf Coast

Local artist Larry Bishop will display his paintings at the Lake Travis Community Library beginning on Monday, July 10th. Bishop grew up spending his summers on Florida’s Gulf Coast and fell in love with its communities, marine life, and fishing. His artwork seeks to capture the natural beauty of the Texas, Mississippi, and Florida coastlines. All are invited to his reception on Saturday, July 15th from 2pm to 3:30pm.

Much of his current work is inspired by the coastal settings he frequents: the Gulf Coast of Texas Mississippi and Florida. Most recently, he keeps his boat in Rockport, Texas. After 20 years as a golf pro, and another 20 years as a realtor, these days Larry is happiest with either a fishing pole, golf club, paintbrush or pastel in his hand.
