Lakeway Arts + Culture Calendar

Join us for the monthly Big Band Bash featuring the Republic of Texas Big Band every second Monday of the month from 7-9pm. BYOB and wear your dancing shoes! This event is free as it is sponsored by the Lakeway Arts Committee and the Lakeway P&R Department. 

We invite you to join us to kickoff Season Three of the Masterpiece Concert Series with Concert No. 7 on Sunday September 15th at 4pm in the Lakeway Activity Center.   Masterpiece Concert No. 7 Repertoire: Claude Debussy (French,  1862 – 1918) – String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10 Franz Schubert (German, 1797 – 1828) – String Quintet in C major (“Cello Quintet”) Masterpiece Concert Series’ Founding Performers: Violin: Sari Pearce Cello: Andrew Pearce Guest Performers: Violin: Eunice Keem (Associate Concertmaster, Dallas Symphony Orchestra) Viola: Matt Sinno (Associate Principal Viola, Dallas Symphony Orchestra) Cello: Minji Kim (Dallas Symphony Orchestra)  

Join us for an Artist Reception at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery. All are welcome in the Art Gallery for light refreshments from 5:30 – 6:30pm before the City Council meeting begins. Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, you are invited to knit and crochet together at the Lake Travis Community Library (or via Zoom)! All experience levels are welcome to bring their own knitting project to receive tips and guidance from club members. Explore Austin-area museums for free! The 27th Annual Austin Museum Day is a free celebration of art, culture, history, music, nature, and science. Over thirty museums in the greater Austin area will welcome visitors with special programming including guided and self-guided exhibition tours, activities, and more for visitors of all ages. Participating museums include the Blanton Museum of Art, The Contemporary Austin, Mexic-Arte Museum, Texas State Capitol, Thinkery, UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum and more!
