Arts in the Afternoon: Band of the Hills
Save the date for the next Arts in the Afternoon performance on February 27 from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This FREE concert will feature music by the Band of the Hills, a community band for all ages. Band of the Hills has entertained crowds around Central Texas for more than 20 years and performs a variety of music from classical to seasonal favorites. A Night With The Austin Symphony Orchestra
Mark your calendars for March 26, 2022 when members of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and students with Lake Travis High School perform together at “A Night with the Austin Symphony Orchestra.” Maestro Peter Bay will conduct the performance with participation by Anna Macias, Director for the Lake Travis High School Orchestra and Richard Hicks, Director for the Lake Travis High School Band. Music in the Park with Jordan Moser
Jordan Moser is an artist in many mediums. He’s been a ballet dancer professionally for the past 10 years with Ballet Austin, traveling as far as China to perform. He is also a prolific filmmaker, having crafted three music videos for local rising star Molly Burch, as well as choreographing and dancing in Adam Torres’ breathtaking video for “Juniper Arms” in 2016. He has been recording and self-releasing his own music for over 10 years. He had his label debut in April 2019 via Keeled Scales. Enjoy a virtual Classical Music Piano Recital with Kiyoshi Tamagawa
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to present this virtual piano concert by Dr. Kiyoshi Tamagawa created in June 2021. It is a selection of a few different recitals with descriptive and insightful narration by Dr. Tamagawa. Music includes Mozart, Clara and Robert Schumann and Beethoven. About Kiyoshi Tamagawa Kiyoshi Tamagawa, Professor of Music at Southwestern University and Associate Dean for the Sarofim School of Fine Arts from 2014 to 2017, has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist throughout North America, as well as Europe and Asia.
