Arts in the Afternoon 2023: Music, Dance and More
Throughout the year, the City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents “Arts in the Afternoon” a series of arts events from various talented and local performers. Performances include local musicians, bands, classical chamber music, dance and more. All performances are held at the Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX. There are lots of fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your special someone! A classical concert? A swinging dance? A special symphony performance? All are great options to celebrate Valentine’s Day (early) with your sweetheart. Nutcracker Ballet kicks off Holiday Season in Lakeway
Don’t miss this free performance of the Nutcracker ballet by Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble on November 13th from 4-5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble will present a classic holiday tale, The Nutcracker, that has been told through the most famous ballet in history for hundreds of years. It is through the re-imagining of this story that ballet companies across the nation have brought brilliant innovation and context that continues to inspire and excite new audiences every year. Rock Around the Clock at the Lakeway Sock Hop!
Join us at the first ever Lakeway Sock Hop on Monday, Sept 26, 2022 from 7-9 pm at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX)! Don your favorite 50’s fashion and your dancing shoes at this FREE family friendly event. The City of Lakeway Arts Committee will be featuring The Highlights band plus a few musicians from People’s Choice band with vocals by renown singers, Barbara Calderaro, David Cummings and Howard T.
