Local Artists and Live Music at the Cool Arts Show & Studio Tour
The Lakeway Arts Committee is hosting its annual Cool Arts Show & Studio Tour on Saturday, August 24th from 1pm to 5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). Enjoy live music by Bethany Becker while browsing beautiful artwork from many local artists. There will be paintings, jewelry, pottery, and even fun children’s activities like face painting and art projects. Want to see more art? The Studio Tour is happening on both Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th from 12 noon to 5pm. Lakeway Art Walk Shines through the Clouds and Rain
The rain may have dampened some plans, but it couldn’t dampen the artistic spirit at the inaugural Lakeway Art Walk last weekend. While the outdoor exhibits and gatherings at the Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden couldn’t take place, there were many delightful indoor alternatives: a self-guided Studio Tour, LTHS student art exhibit, historical quilt retrospective, TexARTS theater showcase, and live music performance by the Christian Wiggs Sextet. Over Saturday and Sunday, art enthusiasts roamed across Lakeway, exploring the studios of local artists from 10am to 4pm. The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Art”, a very special art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1-31st at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit of paintings, drawings, digital AI art and mixed media sculptures by local women artists was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. Lake Travis Film Festival
The Lake Travis Film Festival (LTFF) is an annual event that features film screenings, film panel discussions, and exciting social events. It is a film festival with an eye to showcasing filmmakers around the globe with authenticity, vision, and purpose. LTFF has brought together filmmakers to celebrate their accomplishments in the beautiful Texas Hill Country for a star studded weekend since 2020.
