Inaugural Photography Exhibit Captures the Strength of Women
The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Photography”, a special photo exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1st – March 30th at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit includes dramatic photos both by women photographers and portraits of women taken by local photographers. The exhibit was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. We invite you to join us at the Artists Reception on March 9th from 1:30-3pm. Enchanting Holiday Festivities in Lakeway
Kick off the holiday season with the charming Lights On! event on Friday, December 1st from 6 to 8 pm. Gather behind City Hall for a delightful evening of twinkling lights, delectable treats, lively games, and heartwarming bluegrass music. Starting December 4th, Santa’s Special Delivery mailbox will be stationed at the Lakeway Activity Center, eagerly awaiting children’s letters and drawings for Santa. If you drop off your letter early and include your child’s name and address legibly, there’s a chance Santa’s helpers will send a reply. For parents who wish to have their child’s letter returned for their keepsake book, please visit the Activity Center in January. From December 1st…

Grand Opening of the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden
Join us for fun grand opening festivities for the newest park in Lakeway! The Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden (104 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX 78734) is a beautiful new park located in Lakeway, Texas. It is home to a collection of bronze sculptures by local artists. On Sunday October 15th at 4pm, there will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony with the mayor to celebrate the opening of the new sculpture garden and the start of a new era for the arts in Lakeway. Vibrant Oil Paintings of Texas and Lake Travis
The Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to feature the oil paintings of local artist Mary Barnes at City Hall. The gallery is open during normal business hours, or before, during, or after a City Council meeting. The gallery is located just outside the lobby area at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road. Barnes’ oil paintings capture the beauty of the Texas and Lake Travis area in vivid detail. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the state. Roger Roger. Don’t miss Airplane! at the Lakeway Airpark
Join Lake Travis Film Festival and Lakeway Airpark for their final free Summer Movie screening of the year. This time, it’s the 1980 classic comedy, Airplane! The event starts at 7:30pm at Lakeway Airpark (115 Flying Scot St, Lakeway) in an actual airplane hangar. There will be free popcorn, pizza from CraigO’s and, for the grownups, there will be free Dirty Shirleys, the official cocktail of the 2023 LTFF festival, courtesy of Tito’s Vodka.
