Congratulations to the 2022 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winners of the 20th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival for 2022! There were 103 beautiful photographs entered from 36 talented local Lakeway photographers. We are pleased to say that over 94% of the entries were entered digitally and all were displayed electronically at the Awards reception. Enter the Lakeway Photo Festival!
Celebrating its 20th year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. This year the photo categories include Nature, Wildlife, Community, Artistic and Student plus two brand new categories: Pets and Foodie! Amateur or professional photographers as well as LTISD photography students are encouraged to enter. All photos must be taken in the City of Lakeway and by residents within the Lake Travis ISD area. Art Intersects Science in April
Visit the Lake Travis Community Library this April to view the photography exhibit of local artist Mary Seewoster. Seewoster grew up in Missouri and worked at the University of Missouri’s Department of History and Research Reactor. After receiving a camera from a co-worker, she learned the basics of 35mm film photography and began volunteering to take photos of instruments, experiments, and student research projects. She applied for and won an award to attend workshops sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America. In 2000, Seewoster became a mid-life career changer and earned a Bachelor of Science in Photography. In 2008, after the loss of her Missouri relatives, she left for Texas.…

The City of Lakeway is proud to announce the winners of the 19th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival for 2021! There were 77 beautiful photographs entered from 31 talented local Lakeway photographers. We are pleased to say that over 92% of the entries were entered digitally for the first time ever! The categories for submission were Nature, Wildlife, Community (previously know as Activities, Volunteers, and Events), and Artistic. We also had many talented LTISD photography students enter from Lake Travis High School. We admired them so much we added a special Student category as well this year.
