Congrats to 2021 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway is proud to announce the winners of the 19th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival for 2021! There were 77 beautiful photographs entered from 31 talented local Lakeway photographers. We are pleased to say that over 92% of the entries were entered digitally for the first time ever! The categories for submission were Nature, Wildlife, Community (previously know as Activities, Volunteers, and Events), and Artistic. We also had many talented LTISD photography students enter from Lake Travis High School. We admired them so much we added a special Student category as well this year. The City of Lakeway Arts Committee announces the 19th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival. This free and open to the public photography festival is a cherished annual event that showcases the talented local photographers and scenic beauty in Lakeway. Anytime is a great time to take photographs of the beautiful Lakeway area we live in. Our nature, wildlife, events, activities, volunteers and artistic views are all categories for photo entries this year. The Hive Reopens
Please join to celebrate the reopening of The Hive in Bee Cave Friday October 16th from 6-8pm and enjoy the first sneak peak at The Bees of Bee Cave. The colony of giant bee sculptures will be making their outdoor debut at The Hill Country Galleria later this year but a few of them have landed in The Hive for your viewing pleasure. This exhibition features 10 artists selected by their proposed design, each celebrating the unique buzz of Bee Cave, from its hill country heritage to its vibrant contemporary style! Call for Artists to Help Preserve our Dark Skies
Call for Artists and Photographers! The City of Bee Cave in partnership with the Bee Cave Arts Foundation invites photographers of all levels to submit work reflecting the theme “The Night Sky.” There is no entry fee, and each photographer may submit up to five entries. All images are entitled to a review by the City of Bee Cave and the exhibit curator. Selected images will be displayed at The Hive by the Bee Cave Arts Foundation from October 14 – November 14. Lakeway Arts District is proud to announce a new initiative to compile the first comprehensive Artist Directory for the greater Lakeway, TX area. Until now, there has not been a free and publicly available Artist Directory for our diverse Lakeway area complete with artists from visual, performing, applied, digital, and literary arts.
