Join Us for Jazz & Art at the Lakeway Photo Festival Reception!
Join us for a jazzy celebration of all the talented local photographers who entered the 21st Annual Lakeway Photo Festival this year! There were 164 beautiful photographs entered from 54 talented local Lakeway photographers. On Sunday June 11th at 4pm, Lakeway photographers, friends, and families are invited to attend the 21st Lakeway Photo Festival Awards Reception where the winners and honorable mentions will be announced. All are welcome to enjoy an arts filled afternoon admiring the outstanding winning photos while listening to live jazz and enjoying cookies and refreshments. Awards reception will be held at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). See you there!

Musicians Honor a Local Jazz Legend
Enjoy an evening presented by Spicewood Arts with two of Jazz music’s finest artists at a performance held each year in honor of Tony Campise, one of Austin’s great jazz musicians. This year at 7pm on May 5th at Spicewood Vineyards, the Austin-born Carmen Bradford (2022 Grammy nominee and recipient of the Los Angeles Jazz Society’s Jazz Vocalist Award) and John Mills (composer/arranger and recording saxophonist across a wide spectrum of jazz and other musical genres) will entertain everyone with their classic jazz tribute to Tony. Get Inspired at the Lakeway Garden Club Open House
Ready to turn your artistic talents into a vibrant and colorful garden? Stop by on Saturday and get inspired with the Lakeway Garden Club at their Open House at the Lake Travis Community Library on April 22nd from 12-2pm. The Lakeway Garden Club will offer an overview of the club, its upcoming projects and how to become a member for free. All are welcome to enjoy some light refreshments and learn about gardening in the Lakeway area including native plants, vegetable gardening, container gardens, water wise planting etc. An expert gardener can answer questions about growing vegetables, native plants and more. Call for Artwork at Austin Pets Alive!
Life Scout Tyce Bogdon from Boy Scout Troop 52 is working on a project benefiting Austin Pets Alive, a local non-profit organization that provides care to dogs and cats who are looking for a home. He is creating a new outdoor space that is in a high-traffic area of their Town Lake headquarters. The hope is that this new space will inspire and encourage more donations and pet adoptions. Because art is an important part of his life, Tyce would like to have a piece of artwork donated as a gift to Austin Pets Alive. Enter the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival
Celebrating its 21st year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. This year the photo categories include Artistic, Community, Nature (Sky, Water and Greenery), Pets and Wildlife (Deer, Birds and Critters) plus a brand new category celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Lakeway called Heritage. Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter. All photos must be taken in the City of Lakeway and by residents within the Lake Travis ISD area.
