Learn to capture a likeness in this portrait painting class hosted by Penny Jamrack! Acrylic artists with some experience will learn an effective way to produce a recognizable portrait using a gridded approach. This will start with a square photo and canvas to use Rembrandt’s base layers, grid, tonal painting and color wheel. This process is a fun and structured way to make your portrait “POP”!!
Bring lunch and/or snacks and your individual art supplies and square canvas, acrylic paint, long ruler, 2B pencil, photo (head and shoulders) and easel. Recommend titanium white and burnt umber.
