Although she is most often known for promoting environmental conservation and the wildflowers that brighten the country’s landscape, this exhibition tells a broader story of Mrs. Johnson. It gives visitors a view into her education, her family, her campaign efforts, her acumen as a businesswoman, her leadership in environmental conservation, and her role as a philanthropist. Celebrate “Women in Art 2024” this February and March
The Lakeway Arts District and Bee Cave Arts Foundation present “Women in Art 2024”, a special two month-long art exhibition celebrating Women’s History from February 3rd – March 22nd at the The Hive Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria. This creative exhibit showcasing a diverse array of paintings, drawings, sculptures, mixed media, and fiber arts by 68 local women artists was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. Congratulations to the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winning photos for the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival! There were 164 beautiful digital photographs entered from 54 talented local photographers – the most ever! The categories this year were Artistic, Community, Nature/Greenery, Nature/Sky, Nature/Water, Pets, Wildlife/Birds and Wildlife/Critters. Thanks to everyone who attended the awards reception and special thanks to our live jazz musicians and talented honors band saxophonists, Nick and Luka, who played so beautifully in the 100 degree heat!
