Celebrate Local Art at the Annual Cool Arts Show
The Lakeway Arts Committee is hosting its annual Cool Arts Show on Saturday, August 23rd from 1pm to 5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). Enjoy live music while browsing beautiful artwork from many local artists. There will be paintings, jewelry, pottery, and even fun children’s activities like face painting and art projects. Prepare to be captivated by Michelson’s unique vision. A classic on-site painter with influences from the French Fauves, her work echoes the vision, color, and verve of masters like Van Gogh, Vlaminck, and Derain. Michelson paints powerfully, using thick, vivid strokes to depict each scene in wild and beautiful color, offering only a suggestion of reality.
