Explore Undulating Fields in Painted Landscapes this April
Local artist Jay Ohlrich will exhibit his oil painting at the Lake Travis Community Library in April. Jay works with bronze, clay, paint, gold, and silver to create his unique paintings and sculptures. His exhibit will feature a collection of oil landscapes on canvas which were inspired by his love of the rolling Midwest and Western topography. All are invited to join Ohlrich for a reception on Saturday, April 1st from 1pm to 3pm and an artist talk Wednesday, April 5th at 2pm.
“I see the natural undulations of plowed fields and the movement in unplowed fields of grass and trees as relaxed brush strokes. The intense shadows cast by brilliant sunlight, turn into pools of deep color that create a specific mood I attempt to capture”. – Jay Ohlrich
