A classic on-site painter with influences from the French Fauves, her work echoes the vision, color, and verve of masters like Van Gogh, Vlaminck, and Derain. Michelson paints powerfully, using thick, vivid strokes to depict each scene in wild and beautiful color, offering only a suggestion of reality. Born and raised amidst the rolling hills and expansive skies of Texas, Andy’s artistic spirit first blossomed during his college years while pursuing a degree in fine art.
