Watercolors that Capture Texas Living
Local artist Judy Hazen will display her watercolor artwork in the Lake Travis Community Library in the month of May. Hazen has lived in Lakeway with her husband Fred for 25 years. After retiring from a nursing career, her interest in watercolors developed from classes with local artists and various painting workshops presented by the Lakeway Painters. Hazen’s work is inspired by her RV travels and by her grandchildren. Stop by and meet the artist at the Library’s artist reception on Saturday May 6th from 1pm to 2:30pm. See you there!

Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery Grand Opening
Join us at the Grand Opening of the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery on Monday April 17th at 5:30pm. Talented local artist Linda Wells has created a scenic art journey of Lakeway’s iconic vistas through her beautiful pastel artworks and paintings. Linda finds that a love of nature’s beauty is what inspires her to paint. Her exhibit will be available from April 3rd – June 30th during business hours in Lakeway City Hall. Stop by to take a unique artistic tour of Lakeway! All are welcome in the Art Gallery for light refreshments from 5:30 – 6:30pm before the Lakeway City Council meeting begins.

Save the Date for the Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour 2023
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents the 2023 Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour on August 26 from 1-5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. This year the annual party has expanded to an unique arts festival chock full of live music and kids activities. The Studio Tour will take place on August 26th and 27th from 1-5pm at various artist studios in Lakeway. You won’t want to miss it! Explore Undulating Fields in Painted Landscapes this April
Local artist Jay Ohlrich will exhibit his oil painting at the Lake Travis Community Library in April. Jay works with bronze, clay, paint, gold, and silver to create his unique paintings and sculptures. His exhibit will feature a collection of oil landscapes on canvas which were inspired by his love of the rolling Midwest and Western topography. Enter the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival
Celebrating its 21st year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. This year the photo categories include Artistic, Community, Nature (Sky, Water and Greenery), Pets and Wildlife (Deer, Birds and Critters) plus a brand new category celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Lakeway called Heritage. Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter. All photos must be taken in the City of Lakeway and by residents within the Lake Travis ISD area. Submit your entries starting April 1 and ending May 20, 2023. Awards reception will be held Sunday June 11th at the Lakeway Activity Center from 4-5pm.…
