Enchanting Holiday Festivities in Lakeway
Kick off the holiday season with the charming Lights On! event on Friday, December 1st from 6 to 8 pm. Gather behind City Hall for a delightful evening of twinkling lights, delectable treats, lively games, and heartwarming bluegrass music. Starting December 4th, Santa’s Special Delivery mailbox will be stationed at the Lakeway Activity Center, eagerly awaiting children’s letters and drawings for Santa. If you drop off your letter early and include your child’s name and address legibly, there’s a chance Santa’s helpers will send a reply. Eagle Scout Service Project Breathes New Life into Dragon Park
Local middle school student and Life Scout Nick spearheaded an initiative to renovate and revitalize part of Lakeway’s Dragon Park as his Eagle Scout Service Project, breathing new life into the beloved neighborhood recreational space. With a passion for enhancing the park’s amenities, Nick planned, developed and led his service project for BSA Troop 52 scouts and volunteers to meticulously refurbish the basketball court, adding red, white and blue patriotic nets, freshly painted court lines, and two foursquare courts for younger players. They also incorporated a striking red dragon and Texas star motif into the jump circle, paying homage to the park’s name and adding a touch of local flair.…

Join Lake Travis Film Festival and Lakeway Airpark for their final free Summer Movie screening of the year. This time, it’s the 1980 classic comedy, Airplane! The event starts at 7:30pm at Lakeway Airpark (115 Flying Scot St, Lakeway) in an actual airplane hangar. There will be free popcorn, pizza from CraigO’s and, for the grownups, there will be free Dirty Shirleys, the official cocktail of the 2023 LTFF festival, courtesy of Tito’s Vodka. Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour features Local Artists
Don’t miss the 2023 Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour to enjoy the best local art in Lakeway! The Lakeway Arts Committee will hold the annual Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27. Over twenty artists will exhibit and sell their work at the Lakeway Activity Center from 1-5PM on Saturday, August 26th. Attendees will find paintings, watercolors, pottery, garden art and more from many talented local artists. Artist studio tours will be held around Lakeway on August 26 and 27 from 12-5pm. Austin Brassworks Ready to Shine in Lakeway
Join us as the City of Lakeway’s Arts in the Afternoon program showcases the Austin Brassworks performing “Showstoppers” on Sunday Aug 6th at 4pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. This free and family friendly concert is for all brass band lovers! The Austin Brassworks formed in 2018 to explore original works for brass quintet, including those by the Nineteenth Century composer, Victor Ewald, and more contemporary composers of quintet literature, such as John Cheetham and Michael.
