Chill out this Summer at the Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour
The Lakeway Arts Committee is hosting its annual Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour. The event features live music by Christian Wiggs Trio (1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in the Lakeway Activity Center courtyard, and fine visual arts created by around 20 Lakeway-area artists. Art available includes paintings, jewelry and pottery. There will also be a variety of children’s activities for kiddos to check out, including face painting and arts projects. Three food trucks will also be outside the show on Saturday, including Evil Wiener, Craig O’s, and Kona Ice. The home art studio tour locations will be released within the week of the event. Local Artists to be Showcased at Lakeway City Hall
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is showcasing different local Lakeway artists though out the year at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery. If you are an artist living in the Lakeway, TX area we invite you to submit your work for consideration for an exhibit at the City of Lakeway Art Gallery, located inside City Hall at 1102 Lohmans Crossing Rd, Lakeway, TX 78734. Artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, pastel, charcoal, etching, screen printing, photography, or mixed media will be considered for this venue. Old Fashioned 4th of July Parades through Lakeway
Independence Day is the City of Lakeway’s biggest celebration of the year and is famous for its classic, old fashioned 4th of July parade. This year there are activities for the whole family. There is a patriotic themed Rhythms & Reels event Friday July 1st evening at City Park, the Lakeway 4th of July Parade on Monday morning, followed by a Hot Dog Reception provided by HEB Lakeway at the Lakeway Activity Center, and a special $4 entry fee at the Swim Center all day on July 4th! Congratulations to the 2022 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winners of the 20th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival for 2022! There were 103 beautiful photographs entered from 36 talented local Lakeway photographers. We are pleased to say that over 94% of the entries were entered digitally and all were displayed electronically at the Awards reception.
