Congratulations to the 2022 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winners of the 20th Annual Lakeway Photo Festival for 2022! There were 103 beautiful photographs entered from 36 talented local Lakeway photographers. We are pleased to say that over 94% of the entries were entered digitally and all were displayed electronically at the Awards reception. Currently there are openings for talented volunteers on the Arts Committee. Ideal applicants should be arts savvy and have strong computer and organizational skills along with an enthusiastic attitude for volunteer service. Lakeway Arts in the Afternoon
Throughout the year, the City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents “Arts in the Afternoon” a series of arts events from various talented and local performers. Performances include local musicians, bands, orchestras, operas, plays, dance and more. All performances are held at the Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX. A Night With The Austin Symphony Orchestra
Mark your calendars for March 26, 2022 when members of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and students with Lake Travis High School perform together at “A Night with the Austin Symphony Orchestra.” Maestro Peter Bay will conduct the performance with participation by Anna Macias, Director for the Lake Travis High School Orchestra and Richard Hicks, Director for the Lake Travis High School Band. Celebrate the Season at Lights On
Ho Ho Ho and Happy Holidays! Join us to kick off the holiday season at the Lights On event on December 4th from 6-8pm marks the first lighting of the Trail of Lights behind City Hall. We invite you to join us for fun in the parking lot at City Hall (at the corner of Sailmaster and Lohman’s). Have fun decorating cookies and roasting a marshmallow at the fire pit! We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit Lake Travis Crisis Ministries.
