Calling all Women Artists in the Lake Travis area! International Women’s Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8th to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. Recently the entire month of March has been designated Women’s History Month as a national celebration. To honor “Women in Art” next March, the Lakeway Arts District will be showcasing many talented female artists in our area at a special month-long exhibit at the Lake Travis Community Library. The Lake Travis Film Festival ignites cinematic fireworks with music and films this year! Enjoy pop-up tastings, award brunch, film screenings, live table reads, panels, parties, and more in Bee Cave and Lakeway, Texas and meet filmmakers, screenwriters, and industry professionals. The City of Lakeway presents the Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour
Don’t miss the Cool Arts Show this Saturday from 12-5 pm at the Lakeway Activity Center! The City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents this family friendly event which features live music by Christian Wiggs Trio and fine visual arts created by many Lakeway-area artists. Art available for sale includes paintings, jewelry and pottery. There will also be a variety of children’s activities including face painting and arts projects. Three food trucks will also be outside the show on Saturday, including Evil Wiener, Craig O’s, and Kona Ice. The Lakeway Arts Committee is hosting its annual Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour. The event features live music by Christian Wiggs Trio (1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in the Lakeway Activity Center courtyard, and fine visual arts created by around 20 Lakeway-area artists. Local Artists to be Showcased at Lakeway City Hall
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee invites local artists and photographers to submit their work for our upcoming solo exhibition seasons at Lakeway City Hall. This program offers area creators a premier opportunity to showcase a cohesive body of work—typically 12 to 18 pieces—in a professional, high-traffic setting. Eligibility and Requirements This call is open exclusively to residents of the Lakeway area. They are seeking original 2D works across all media, including painting, photography, and mixed media. All artwork must be suitable for a general audience and capable of being wall-mounted, as the gallery cannot accommodate floor-standing displays or sculptures.
