Enchanting Holiday Festivities in Lakeway

Kick off the holiday season with the charming Lights On! event on Friday, December 1st from 6 to 8 pm. Gather behind City Hall for a delightful evening of twinkling lights, delectable treats, lively games, and heartwarming bluegrass music.

Starting December 4th, Santa’s Special Delivery mailbox will be stationed at the Lakeway Activity Center, eagerly awaiting children’s letters and drawings for Santa. If you drop off your letter early and include your child’s name and address legibly, there’s a chance Santa’s helpers will send a reply. For parents who wish to have their child’s letter returned for their keepsake book, please visit the Activity Center in January.

From December 1st to January 1st, immerse yourself in the enchanting Trail of Lights, a cherished Lakeway tradition. Stroll alongside family and friends and revel in the breathtaking display of festive lights.

All are welcome to participate as the City of Lakeway hosts a Menorah Lighting in front of Lakeway City Hall for eight nights starting Thursday, Dec. 7 at around 5:30 pm to celebrate Hanukkah.

On Friday, December 8th, gather at the Lakeway Activity Center Parking Lot for a special holiday screening of the Dr. Seuss beloved classic, The Grinch Movie. The event will commence at 6 pm and feature family-friendly games, delightful vendors, warm hot chocolate, and perhaps an appearance by the Grinch himself!

On Sunday, December 10th from 4 to 5 pm, don’t miss the family-friendly ballet dance performance by Metamorphosis Dance of excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 29th, and join the Polar Bear Plunge at the Lakeway Swim Center. This chilly yet exhilarating event takes place from 9 to 10 am. Participants will take a brisk ride down the big slide before plunging into the refreshing waters of the leisure pool. It is a fun and frosty way to start the new year!
