The Lake Travis Library is hosting its 10th annual Teen Art Contest, and we’re inviting you to participate. Renowned local artist and illustrator Linda Wells will be exhibiting her captivating oil and pastel paintings at the Lakeway Library’s meeting room this month. A native Texan with a lifelong passion for art, Wells served in the Marine Corps before pursuing formal art education at Victoria Junior College and the Texas Academy of Art in Houston. Linda’s professional career included roles as an Art Director at printing companies and in the graphics department of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. After retiring, she dedicated herself to oil and pastel painting, specializing in plein air techniques. The Texas Youth Music Festival is inviting talented middle and high school garage bands and solo performers to compete in its annual music competition.
