Call for Photographers: Women in Photography Art Exhibit
UPDATE: DEADLINE NOW EXTENDED TO 1/29/24! The Lakeway Arts District is seeking submissions for the debut Women in Photography art exhibit, which will be on display from March 1-30, 2024 at the Lake Travis Community Library in celebration of Women’s History Month. This exhibit will feature the work of local photographers, showcasing their diverse perspectives and talents as well as compelling photographic portraits of women subjects. All are welcome to enter their creative photographic expressions as we celebrate women’s history, issues, and rights. We encourage photographers to explore themes of voting, equality, health, beauty, motherhood, and more, whether through abstract or realistic photographic representations. Congratulations to the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to announce the winning photos for the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival! There were 164 beautiful digital photographs entered from 54 talented local photographers – the most ever! The categories this year were Artistic, Community, Nature/Greenery, Nature/Sky, Nature/Water, Pets, Wildlife/Birds and Wildlife/Critters. Thanks to everyone who attended the awards reception and special thanks to our live jazz musicians and talented honors band saxophonists, Nick and Luka, who played so beautifully in the 100 degree heat! Join us for a jazzy celebration of all the talented local photographers who entered the 21st Annual Lakeway Photo Festival this year! There were 164 beautiful photographs entered from 54 talented local Lakeway photographers. On Sunday June 11th at 4pm, Lakeway photographers, friends, and families are invited to attend the 21st Lakeway Photo Festival Awards Reception where the winners and honorable mentions will be announced. All are welcome to enjoy an arts filled afternoon admiring the outstanding winning photos while listening to live jazz and enjoying cookies and refreshments. Awards reception will be held at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). See you there!

Enter the 2023 Lakeway Photo Festival
Celebrating its 21st year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. This year the photo categories include Artistic, Community, Nature (Sky, Water and Greenery), Pets and Wildlife (Deer, Birds and Critters) plus a brand new category celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Lakeway called Heritage. Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter. All photos must be taken in the City of Lakeway and by residents within the Lake Travis ISD area.
