Women in Visual Art (WIVA)
Women in Visual Art (WIVA) is a dynamic organization dedicated to championing the voices of women artists. They design, curate and produce the renowned annual Women in Art and Women in Photography exhibitions held in March for Women’s History Month each year. Inaugural Photography Exhibit Captures the Strength of Women
The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Photography”, a special photo exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1st – March 30th at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit includes dramatic photos both by women photographers and portraits of women taken by local photographers. The exhibit was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. We invite you to join us at the Artists Reception on March 9th from 1:30-3pm. Call for Photographers: Women in Photography Art Exhibit
UPDATE: DEADLINE NOW EXTENDED TO 1/29/24! The Lakeway Arts District is seeking submissions for the debut Women in Photography art exhibit, which will be on display from March 1-30, 2024 at the Lake Travis Community Library in celebration of Women’s History Month. This exhibit will feature the work of local photographers, showcasing their diverse perspectives and talents as well as compelling photographic portraits of women subjects. All are welcome to enter their creative photographic expressions as we celebrate women’s history, issues, and rights.
