Dr. SungEun Park, a distinguished performer and educator, has graced stages across Korea, Italy, and the United States as both a solo pianist and a chamber musician. Currently serving as Assistant Professor of Piano at Texas Lutheran University and Program Director of the Texas State International Piano Festival, Dr. Park’s accomplishments are vast.
A winner of numerous competitions, including the 5th Texas State International Piano Festival Concerto Competition, the American Prize, and the Sidney Wright Endowed Presidential Scholarship, Dr. Park has captivated audiences with her concerto performances alongside esteemed orchestras such as the Central Texas Philharmonic Orchestra, the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra, the Texas State University Symphony Orchestra, the Balcones Community Orchestra, and the Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra.
Beyond the classical repertoire, Dr. Park is a passionate champion of contemporary music, having frequently premiered works by leading composers. Her dedication to the arts has led her to perform as a guest artist at prestigious international and national conferences, including the Hawaii International Conference on Arts & Humanities, the National Association of Composers/USA, the Composers Alliance of San Antonio, and the One Month Festival.
Dr. Park’s expertise as a performer is further evidenced by her involvement as a jury member for esteemed competitions such as the Texas Young Artist Piano Competition, the Rose Petroff Piano Competition, and the TFMC All State Festival. Her extensive discography includes recordings featuring the compositions of Peter Petroff, Zvonimir Nagy, Haseulki Baek, and Joe Young.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (DMA) and Texas State University (MM) in Piano Performance, Dr. Park’s mastery of the instrument is undeniable.
