2024 ART WALK WEATHER UPDATE: Due to potential rainy weather conditions, we regret to inform everyone that the Friday night concert under the stars featuring the Christian Wiggs Sextet and the outdoor Saturday Art Walk at the Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden and Hamilton Greenbelt have been cancelled. However, the weekend doesn’t end there! The Studio Tours and off-site exhibitions will still be happening as planned on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, offering you a chance to explore the creativity of local artists in their studios. Dive into Global Affairs with Great Decisions Seminars
Join us for another fantastic series of Great Decisions topics at the Lake Travis Community Library. This free, in-person program will take place in Lake Travis Community Library meeting room biweekly on Thursday nights at 7pm from March 7th to June 13th, 2024. No registration is required. Great Decisions is a nationwide, non-partisan program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association intended to broaden public involvement in foreign affairs. It was launched over 50 years ago, and today tens of thousands of participants take part in discussion groups each year. Arts in the Afternoon 2024: Music, Dance and More
Throughout the year, the City of Lakeway Arts committee presents “Arts in the Afternoon” a series of arts events from various talented and local performers. Performances include local musicians, bands, classical chamber music, dance and more. Most performances are held at the Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX (unless otherwise noted). All performances are free and open to the public. Inaugural Photography Exhibit Captures the Strength of Women
The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Photography”, a special photo exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1st – March 30th at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit includes dramatic photos both by women photographers and portraits of women taken by local photographers. The exhibit was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. We invite you to join us at the Artists Reception on March 9th from 1:30-3pm.
