    Travel the World in Watercolors

    August 1, 2022 /

This month at the Lake Travis Community Library, don’t miss the travel inspired watercolor paintings of local artist Ben Kuenemann. Ben was born in El Paso and grew up in Houston. He attended San Jacinto High School and is a proud member of the dwindling “Band of Brothers” Class of 1954, former San Jacinto football players. He went on to attend UT, graduating with a degree in Engineering in 1959. Ben and his wife of 62 years, Sylvia, retired to their dream home in Lakeway in 1996. The Fully Monty at TexARTS: Will They Pull It Off?

    July 1, 2022 /

The Full Monty presented by TexARTS is a story full of heart. Based on the cult hit film of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. While spying on their wives at a “Girls’ Night Out,” a group of unemployed steelworkers see how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices,…
