Meet The Lakeway Players Community Theater Group
The Lakeway Players produce two shows a year at the Lakeway Activity Center. Currently, they produce a non-musical show in the spring and a musical in the fall. The Lakeway Players Community Theater Group foster and promote public interest in performing arts allowing community members to participate in all aspects of community theater including writing, acting, singing, dancing, directing, sound, light, costuming and backstage work. They perform regularly scheduled presentations in drama, satire, comedy and musicals. The Lakeway Players was started in the fall of 2001 when a group of drama enthusiasts decided to perform a play written by local Lakeway resident Sue Wright. The play was titled THE BEST LITTLE…

Who are The Wildflowers?
The Wildflowers are a group of female vocalists who perform the beautiful American musical genre; barbershop. The talented group meets regularly at the Lakeway Activity Center on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Directed by Adam Poynor, the chorus consists of approximately 35 Lakeway area women who love to perform in four-part harmony. Tickets may be purchased for their annual performances at the Lakeway Activity Center, or you may find them performing around the area during special occasions such as the City’s Annual 4th of July Celebration or at the Holiday Celebration, Lights On. Harmonizing with the Lakeway Sing Along
Sing Along is a group of approximately 80 men and women from the Lakeway area who enjoy singing and performing. Sing Along meets regularly at the Lakeway Activity Center on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. They perform twice annually, a Spring Show series (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) and a Christmas Show (2 performances on Sunday in December). Profits from the Spring show supports the Christmas Show which currently benefits the Green Santa program. Each year, Sing Along collects thousands of toys and dollars for charities which benefit children in need in the Lake Travis area. Join the Cool Arts Party on August 19th
Mark your calendar, Lakeway’s free Cool Arts Party is coming up on August 19th and will feature fine art paintings, jewelry, sculpture, and pottery created by area artists from 1-5 p.m. at Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. There is no fee for artists to display their works, but they must come to the Lakeway Activity Center to register their participation, provide their contact information, and obtain their display locations on a first-come basis.
