Join the Cool Arts Party on August 19th
Mark your calendar, Lakeway’s free Cool Arts Party is coming up on August 19th and will feature fine art paintings, jewelry, sculpture, and pottery created by area artists from 1-5 p.m. at Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. There is no fee for artists to display their works, but they must come to the Lakeway Activity Center to register their participation, provide their contact information, and obtain their display locations on a first-come basis. Lakeway Arts Committee presents Bella Corda youth guitar ensemble
The Austin Bella Corda Guitar Ensemble will return to Lakeway for a free concert from 4-5 p.m. Saturday at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This ensemble of extraordinary students from the Central Texas area has performed music from medieval times to the present on tours throughout the United States and Germany. Their YouTube videos have garnered over 350,000 viewings. Bella Corda soloist Aytahn Benavi, 15, recently placed first in high school guitar competitions at Texas A&M and Indiana universities. Legend Communities offers $13.1 million for 82 acres of prime Lakeway
From Community Impact newspaper: Legend Communities, a local builder primarily focused on residential developments including Lakeway’s Rough Hollow and Tuscan Village neighborhoods, was awarded the high bid—$13.1 million—for an 82-acre parcel being sold as surplus property by the Lakeway MUD. Earl Foster, the MUD’s general manager, said he sent out 40 bid packages and opened the district’s four responses at 2 p.m. on Jan. 27, the deadline for bid submissions. JDI Holdings LLC submitted the next highest bid in the amount of $6.2 million for the property located adjacent to the Oaks at Lakeway, followed by Oaks at Lakeway developer Stratus Properties with a bid of $3.1 million and CNA…

Introducing the Lakeway Arts District
With our majestic Hill County views and spectacular Lake Travis sunsets, Lakeway is a beautiful area that inspires many locals to be creative. Founded in 2015 by local residents, the Lakeway Arts District was created to provide a source and center for all the Arts and Cultural events happening in Lakeway and its surrounding areas. After living here for many years, we found that it was not easy to safely read the upcoming events banners that are posted along the roadway. So to make it accessible for all residents, we created the online Lakeway Arts District to showcase all the Arts and Cultural event and calendar info anyone could need.…
