Lakeway Art Walk Shines through the Clouds and Rain
The rain may have dampened some plans, but it couldn’t dampen the artistic spirit at the inaugural Lakeway Art Walk last weekend. While the outdoor exhibits and gatherings at the Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Sculpture Garden couldn’t take place, there were many delightful indoor alternatives: a self-guided Studio Tour, LTHS student art exhibit, historical quilt retrospective, TexARTS theater showcase, and live music performance by the Christian Wiggs Sextet. Over Saturday and Sunday, art enthusiasts roamed across Lakeway, exploring the studios of local artists from 10am to 4pm. Arts in the Afternoon 2024: Music, Dance and More
Throughout the year, the City of Lakeway Arts committee presents “Arts in the Afternoon” a series of arts events from various talented and local performers. Performances include local musicians, bands, classical chamber music, dance and more. Most performances are held at the Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX (unless otherwise noted). All performances are free and open to the public.
