Exploring Planets and Stars at the Lake Travis Community Library
Join us at the Lake Travis Community Library for fun events this summer like experiencing the wonders of the night sky from inside a mobile planetarium! On June 9th from 12-3pm, you can enter the planetarium dome and be introduced to a “star filled” sky at the Library. A trained astronomy educator from Austin Stars and Science will guide you through the stars and our solar system with the use of a digital planetarium projector and a laser pointer. How to participate: There will be six, 30-minute Mobile Planetarium sessions (12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, and 2:30pm) with a limit of 24 participants per session. Ready to turn your artistic talents into a vibrant and colorful garden? Stop by on Saturday and get inspired with the Lakeway Garden Club at their Open House at the Lake Travis Community Library on April 22nd from 12-2pm. The Lakeway Garden Club will offer an overview of the club, its upcoming projects and how to become a member for free. Songs to Smile about at the Lakeway Sing Along
Would you like to brighten your day? Join the Lakeway Sing Along as they perform a musical inventory of classic songs of the many things we can smile about! The Lakeway Sing Along will present their 22nd annual spring music show, “Come On, Get Happy” at the Lakeway Activity Center on April 28-29. Doors open for these dinner show performances at 6pm, dinner served at 6:30, with the show following. BYOB and tables of 8 and 10 are available.
