Learn about Chinese Brush Painting
We invite you to join Lakeway resident Gail Threinen, as part of the “Women In Art” exhibit, as she demonstrates Chinese Brush Painting of the peony, the favorite flower of the only woman Empress of China, Wu Zetian (624-705) of the Tang Dynasty. Gail’s demonstration will take place on Saturday March 11th at 1:30pm at the Lake Travis Community Library (1938 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway, TX). Throughout the year, the City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents “Arts in the Afternoon” a series of arts events from various talented and local performers. Performances include local musicians, bands, classical chamber music, dance and more. All performances are held at the Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, TX. The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Art”, a very special art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1-31st at the Lake Travis Community Library.
